The project that Luis Gordillo presents at the Museum of the University of Navarra is conceived as a review in which his main works of the 21st century can be contemplated in dialogue with some other emblematic pieces and series of his previous career. At the same time, in this exhibition the most outstanding lines of research of this last period are approached in depth, giving special importance to the constant feedback that exists between painting and photography, a characteristic territory of the author where the image in process defines internal configurations that build the work. Memorándum is conceived as a living space that flees from the white cube and tends towards the scenographic. Its objective is to involve the visitor, to show him the tensions and energies that Luis Gordillo’s work gives off from the inside, offering a double perspective: on the one hand, a macroscopic vision of related families of paintings or recurring themes of his career; on the other hand, a close observation of the combustions, explorations and drifts that are generated in the studio.
