carlier | gebauer is an established and international gallery in the art district / U-Bahn Kochstrasse in Berlin with a dependance in Madrid.

To strengthen our team in Berlin, we are now looking for the following full or part-time positions:

Head of Operations / Team Lead, Berlin (32-40hrs/week)

• Coordinating all departments of the gallery in Berlin the Head of Operations / Team Lead keeps an overview of all day-to-day operations.
• It is a team-leading position, which connects the Logistics Department with the Exhibitions & Sales Department, the back and front offices. The position requires solid experience of management preferably at an art gallery.

Artist Liaison & Sales

As primary point of contact for artists, the Artist Liaison & Sales is responsible for studio liaison, exhibitions and career strategy.

Working within the Sales & Exhibitions department of the gallery and in close collaboration with the Sales Director, the Artist Liaison & Sales will accompany all internal and external gallery’s exhibitions of their artists, archiving their work as well as updating their textual and visual information.

The successful candidate will work hands-in-hands with the Production Manager updating the database with new work entries and following their developments. Candidates have proven experiences in gallery, museum or similar and the ability to work within the fast pace of a commercial gallery.

The role includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:

• Liaising with gallery artists
• Coordination of exhibitions planing with the Operation & Communication Team
• Planning and setting up online sales strategies with the owners together with the Sales Director
• Preparation and sending out of price lists, offers and previews
• Organisation of exhibitions and gallery projects
• Communication with international museums and other institutions

The successful candidate will have the following skills and experiences:

• Work experience in a gallery and deep knowledge of the international contemporary art market
• Good commercial awareness
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Proactive and positive attitude
• German and English as native language or on native level
