We are pleased to announce our participation in Loop with a solo presentation by Richard Mosse with the work Untitled, Rondônia (2024).

Mosse’s work, part of his Tristes Tropique series, uses drone-mounted cameras to capture infrared imagery of deforested areas in Rondônia. This technique reveals the hidden scale of destruction caused by practices like palm oil plantations, soybean farming, cattle ranching, and illegal mining. By experimenting with colour, Mosse transforms these spectral images into striking topographies that expose the brutal effects of environmental exploitation.

In Untitled, Rondônia, Mosse takes this disorientation further, immersing the viewer in a fragmented, mirrored landscape that heightens the experience of ecological collapse. This installation invites a visceral, multi-sensory confrontation with the devastating scope of the destruction, urging reflection on the urgent need for action.
