Michel François & Ann Veronica Janssens | Horror Vacui – Biennale Arte 1999

13.06.–17.11.1999

At the Belgian Pavilion for the 48th International Art Exhibition of La Biennale di Venezia in 1999, artist Ann Veronica Janssen transformed one space into an ethereal realm of fog and mist, where only the faint silhouettes of others could be seen. In an adjoining room, Michel François presented a thought-provoking installation of upside-down dandelions suspended from the ceiling in their delicate, fuzzy final stage, symbolizing the passage of time.
