Paul Graham | (dis)connected

07.–29.09.2024

Paul Graham’s portraits from the Sightless series were taken in the Times Square neighborhood twenty years ago. This series is now presented at the 2024 Images Vevey Visual Arts Biennial. It shows people walking through the city with their eyes momentarily closed, seeming lost in thought, long before smartphones and wireless earbuds monopolized our undivided attention.

Images Vevey has seized this opportunity to put these passers-by back in their original setting of Times Square before showcasing them in Vevey’s public spaces during this September’s Biennial. The series is inviting viewers to reflect on the theme of (dis)connectedness and to explore the profound impact of digital technologies on our lives and society at large.
